The 1.78 m beauty who is a nursing student, was elected one of the 10 semifinalists by votes emmited through sms and internet. The 1st runner-up was Araraquara (Mariana Silvestre)and the 2nd runner-up was Mairipora (Nathalia Bernardes). Butareli will now compete in the Miss Brazil Universe pageant to be held on 23rd July. The winner will be the host contestant during the Miss Universe 2011 finals to be held in Sao Paulo, Brazil in September.
